ABOUT THE PROJECT
The INFRACRIT project aims to create a Geographic Information Systems (SIGPIC) platform, which will result in an intelligent technological solution for the protection and management of Critical Infrastructures.
MAIN GOAL
Aware of the need to create a platform for handling CI information, there was an initiative to innovate the way in which risk management is carried out by the various entities responsible for the maintenance and management of critical infrastructures.
INNOVATION
At the moment, there aren't any systems capable of providing this level of information in a integrated way.
COOPERATION
It was from the cooperation between PH Informática, Universidade do Minho and Universidade de Coimbra, that this initiative was created.
SOLUTION
It is intended that the management, protection, and prediction of the risk associated with a given event be done in an integrated and real-time way.
The socio-economic well-being of a society is, to a large extent,
reflection of the better or worse performance of its critical infrastructures.

The team has a number of elements with strong academic qualifications and research experience.
